Volcano views and vineyards in Catania

Catania, an ancient port city on the east coast of Sicily, sits right at the base of Mt. Etna. Don’t worry, though. You can totally safely climb to the top of the volcano via a number of trails for some of the best views of Sicily on the entire island. In the city itself, you’ll find the famous central square, Piazza del Duomo, as well as the ornate Catania Cathedral, a lively fish market, and excellent wine tasting in nearby vineyards.
