Keeping it local

We’ve teamed up with locals in each of our ports to reveal sides of places you’ve yet to explore — from the people who know the destinations best.

Grand Turk: A haven of history and heavenly beaches
Grand Turk, dotted with windmills and salt ponds from its once-booming salt industry, is unlike anywhere else in the Caribbean. Check out the 60-foot-tall Grand Turk Lighthouse, or the 18th-century prison still standing in Cockburn Town. You can delve further into the island’s history at the Turks and Caicos National Museum, which contains one of the oldest excavated shipwrecks. It’s also a great place to learn about the island’s indigenous Taino people, who settled there in 700 AD.
