For bookings made on or before October 6, 2025:
Our cancellation policy was created to provide a better experience for our Sailors. Here’s everything you need to know:- 120+ days before sailing: You’ll have a 7-day grace period to request a full refund on your deposit and any other payments made. Refunds go back to your original form of payment.
- After the 7-day grace period (but still before 120 days): You’ll receive a refund on all payments, excluding your deposit. Your deposit will be held as Future Voyage Credit.
- 119–45 days before sailing: All funds paid will convert to Future Voyage Credit, good for any voyage within 1 year of your original start date.
- 44 days or less before sailing: All funds are final. You can, however, transfer your booking to someone else up to 48 hours before departure. (Taxes and fees are always refunded regardless of timing.)
For bookings made on or after October 7, 2025:

Unlike the Voyage Protection Plan, which must be purchased at the time of booking and covers pre-travel and voyage interruptions, InVoyage Care covers events that happen during your voyage.
It does not include pre-voyage cancellation protection but offers key benefits like emergency medical coverage, trip delay reimbursement, and baggage protection once you board. -
Sailors who wish to cancel a Shore Thing must do so 24 hours before the day it is scheduled. While on board, Sailors can also cancel before the 24-hour cancellation deadline by stopping at The Red Table on Deck 7.

More than 120 days prior to your departure date, you'll need to pay a 20% deposit to secure your booking (but don't forget, you can also hold a booking for 24 hours without any money down up until 45 days). Once you're within 120 days of sailing, the full voyage fare is due at the time of booking. If you need to change your travel plans after this, you still have plenty of options. Just take a look at our cancellation policy or give our Sailor Services Crew or your travel agent a shout for more details.

NONPERFORMANCE REFUND CLAIMS PROCEDURE
Applicable to Voyage Packages where the Voyage embarks passengers in the USA.
THESE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO OBTAIN A REFUND IN THE EVENT OF NONPERFORMANCE OF TRANSPORTATION. FOR ANY TERM NOT DEFINED IN THIS PROCEDURE, PLEASE SEE OUR TICKET CONTRACT AVAILABLE AT WWW.VIRGINVOYAGES.COM.
“Nonperformance of Transportation” means cancelling or delaying a Voyage by three (3) or more calendar days, if the Sailor elects not to embark on the delayed Voyage or a substitute Voyage offered by the Company or Carrier. A Sailor's own cancellation does not constitute Nonperformance of Transportation.
In the event of Nonperformance of Transportation, the Sailor may submit a claim for a full refund of all monies paid, including cruise fare, any onboard amenity packages and government fees and taxes.
Refund claims for Nonperformance of Transportation must be submitted in writing with supporting documentation, including the booking confirmation and/or copy of the cruise ticket, proof and amount of payment, the cancellation or delay notice, and must be sent to Virgin Voyages at the following address:
Virgin Cruises Intermediate Limited
1000 S. Pine Island Road, Suite 600
Plantation, FL 33324

It is recommended that refund claims be sent via certified mail, registered mail or courier service with delivery confirmation. Valid refund claims will be paid within 180 days. -
A Sailor can register for the “My Next Virgin Voyage” offer with the Future Voyage Sales Crew aboard any Virgin Voyages ship or directly online via a link on the Virgin Voyages app.
A $150 USD deposit is required to register for a Placeholder to secure the “My Next Virgin Voyage” offer. If booking in currencies other than USD, the deposit will be converted to an equivalent deposit amount in the booking’s currency. After the deposit payment has been completed, the Sailor will receive an email confirmation with a booking reference number. Once the Sailor selects a voyage with this Placeholder booking reference number, a payment for the regular 20% deposit will be due. The booking will be subject to the Cancellation Policy in effect at that time. -
