Take a scenic helicopter ride to Mendenhall Glacier, where you'll dog sled with Alaskan Huskies through the snowy landscape.
Fly high above Alaska's awe-inspiring landscape in a helicopter on your way to Mendenhall Glacier. While on board, our highly trained pilots will narrate the scenic ride. As you touch down at our authentic dog mushing camp, you will be greeted by professional dog mushers and their energetic companions, the Alaskan Huskies! Take turns directing the dogs and relaxing in the sled. After your exhilarating sledding experience, you will have time to cuddle with puppies and chat with your dog musher.

Sailors in wheelchairs or with limited mobility should not select this Shore Thing
Sailors must be able to climb in/out of the helicopter with limited assistance
Seating based on the weight, balance, safety, and comfort of the helicopter, and cannot guarantee that groups will be together on the aircraft
No bags, tablets, tripods, selfie sticks, drones, water bottles or liquids are allowed inside the helicopter, but lockers are available at the base
This Shore Thing is weather dependent and may be subject to last-minute cancellations due to changing conditions
Up to 6 sailors per helicopter
Any Sailor whose weight is 250 pounds (113kg) or more, fully clothed at the time of departure will have a surcharge fee added to the ticket price
To ensure a smooth operation, Shore Things Crew will collect Sailor weights and apply the $150 surcharge on embarkation day
Approximately 15 minutes of flight time each way, 20-25 minutes of active mushing, 1 hour at dog camp
Surface of the glacier is slippery and uneven. Glacier overboots are provided
Sailors are advised to wear warm layers and comfortable walking shoes
