Impact Tour: Mangrove Planting & Cabarete's Lagoon
Visit the rural side of the North Coast to Cabarete Lagoon National Monument to help protect this critical ecosystem and plant your own mangrove tree.
Weather dependent, Sailors will either hike through the Cabarete Lagoon Forest or raft across its channel to reach our mangrove sites. Along the way, you’ll learn how mangroves protect coastal communities, increase biodiversity, and play a vital role in fighting climate change—with the opportunity to plant your very own! You'll enjoy fresh tropical fruits and an authentic Dominican-style lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the kite-filled beach before returning to port.
