Visit a preserved necropolis whose tombs date back to the 7th-century BCE. Tarquinia has an astounding cemetery with over 6000 tombs. Tour a city-like plan of huts and breathtaking frescoes that provide insight into the life and culture of Italy’s pre-Roman inhabitants. Afterwards, you’ll board a trolley that will take you into the town’s medieval city center where you’ll get a tour of the 14th-century Town Hall square, before enjoying free time to explore this incredible city on your own.
