What is included on Virgin Voyages, and what costs extra?

Luxurious onboard inclusions are sort of our thing. Here's what's free vs. what you can splurge on.

Virgin Voyages

The phrase 'all-inclusive' has been stretched so far in travel that it can mean almost anything. Sometimes it includes drinks but not dining. Sometimes it includes dining but not WiFi. Sometimes the final bill contains all the shock of your favorite character in an HBO Sunday night show dying unexpectedly.

Virgin Voyages makes the value story easier by including many of the things travelers actually care about before they step onboard. Already in 2026, Virgin has won US News & World Report’s Best Cruise Line for the Money (a repeat from 2025), a testament to the value Sailors discover once they’re on board the Virgin Voyages fleet.

What’s included on Virgin Voyages — always — vs. what could cost extra

Virgin Voyages includes dining at all onboard restaurants, WiFi, unlimited group fitness classes, essential drinks (water, coffee, soda, and tea) and entertainment in the voyage fare. Premium beverages (like a fancy latte), alcoholic beverages, spa treatments, retail shopping you do on board, and some specialty experiences (like Shore Things, the carefully curated excursions Virgin Voyages puts together on land) cost extra.

By comparison, other cruise lines often charge for WiFi and soda, or have entire specialty restaurants that are totally off-limits unless you pay.

Let’s go deeper on the inclusions

Here’s some more detail on what Virgin Voyages includes in the voyage fare.

Dining

The kind of onboard restaurants Virgin Voyages boasts — with menus created by sought-after chefs, and an Eat & Drink Festival that gives NYC Restaurant Week a run for its money — will beat out what you get on any other cruise line. We win awards for dining every year from travel publications, and every Sailor on board can grab a reservation at any of our award-winning onboard restaurants.

There’s a Korean BBQ joint (Gunbae), an elevated Mexican street food place (Pink Agave), a steakhouse (The Wake), and more standout options.

Essential drinks

Water (still or sparkling), soda, tea, coffee — all there for you whenever you want it. In our quest for a cleaner world, we’ve eliminated single-use plastics on board, so our Crew refills carafes of still & sparkling water in your cabin every day (or more than once on request)!

WiFi

Yeah, we include Basic WiFi for scrolling and messaging. It’s a necessity in the world we live in. If the Basic won’t cut it, we offer different paid tiers for your needs (whether those needs be higher speeds, more devices, or a work-worthy connection).

Fitness classes & gym access

Any group class you take at B-Complex, our state-of-the-art onboard gym, is included, from HIIT classes to sunrise yoga. Lone wolves can also hit the weight and cycling machines solo anytime, day or night — you can’t beat the view.

Onboard shows & things to do

It’s not just our shows — a festival-like lineup featuring original, first-to-sea productions, extraordinary pop-up acts, and immersive experiences — that are included in your voyage fare. We also have an onboard arcade, private karaoke rooms, and tons of other random ways to keep yourself entertained that don’t cost extra.

The extra charges you may run into — or may choose not to

ShipEats

Virgin Voyages’ 24/7 onboard delivery service ShipEats is like using your fave delivery app, but with friendlier service (our fabulous Crew never disappoints). Anything you order with ShipEats is included in your cruise fare, excluding a $10 delivery charge. But if your order includes paid items totaling up to $10 or more, we waive the delivery fee.

Sailors in our RockStar and Mega RockStar Suites get free delivery. And if you add drinks to your order, you won’t have to pay the delivery fee. (Drinks will come from your Bar Tab if you have one.)

Bar Tab

Speaking of our Bar Tab program: if you plan on indulging while you sail, pre-purchasing a Bar Tab is a great way to save before you step on board. We throw in up to $250 per cabin so you can have a couple rounds on us, available to use at all our onboard bars (plus the Virgin-exclusive paradise, The Beach Club at Bimini).

Shore Things

You can explore land on your own — we tend to attract curious, self-motivated travelers who have no problems getting to know a new place. If, however, you want a leg up in the 150+ destinations Virgin Voyages sails to, you can opt into our Shore Things, which are shore excursions we put together with local partners to give you the best of every port we sail to. Check out our YouTube guide to Alaska Shore Things for examples of what we do in just one region.

Spa treatments

Redemption Spa is good — really good. (One Redditor recently said they would “live in the mud room if they could” and we definitely saved that screenshot to boost our egos.) However, the treatments you receive there, from a facial to a full-body massage, do cost money. Once on board, you can book treatments and see the corresponding prices in the Sailor App.

The casino

If you want to try your luck at any of the 115 slot machines or table games in our onboard casino, you’ll have to pay…but where in the world have you experienced a free casino?
