Silvana Salcido Esparza
— Barrio Café
Member of the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame. Nominated for the James Beard Award 7 times. Featured in Esquire Magazine and on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Creator of Pink Agave’s phenomenal menu, Silvana Salcido Esparza is more than an award-winning chef and restaurateur — she’s a civil rights advocate, a promoter of the arts, and an immigrant baker’s daughter raised in California who’s sharing the extraordinary culinary culture of her Mexican-American roots.
— Saxon + Parole / PUBLIC
Chef Brad Farmerie was a mechanical engineering student at Penn State when he realized the cooking he did to pay his tuition was the true source of his joy. Now a Michelin-starred chef (and the constructor behind two of this year’s exclusive Eat & Drink Month menus), Chef Farmerie invites you to discover what happiness tastes like with The Dock’s delectable Mediterranean-inspired 3-course menu and The Wake’s elevated 4-course wine pairing dinner experience for two.
— Rodd & Gunn's The Lodge Bar & Dining
Matt Lambert grew up helping his mom and grandma bake. He loved it so much that he even asked for a job at a local restaurant at 11 years old. Well, of course, they had to tell him no. So when he was accepted at Auckland University 2 years early, he left high school and started to cook. Now, he's a Michelin-starred Chef letting his creative juice flow — so it was only natural for us to invite him to design The Test Kitchen's iconic chef-driven menu.
— Gage & Tollner / Insa
A dainty, delightful, and dynamic dish likely created as a way to stretch a small amount of food to feed more people — a pound of pork might not be enough for a family of 4, but add some vegetables to the mix and wrap it in dough, and you have a fulfilling (and delicious) meal — dumplings are a popular comfort food found around the world. Get a taste of Korean tradition with Chef Sohui Kim’s vegetable dumplings at Gunbae, and we promise you won’t want it any other way.
Eric Kim Haugen
Chef Eric Kim Haugen brings his culinary genius to the table with a New American-inspired dinner menu that will entice vegetarians and meat lovers alike. The result? An incredible range of offerings featuring bold reinterpretations of some of America’s favorites only the head judge for Food Network’s “Big Restaurant Bet” could pull off. Be among the first Sailors to taste some of Razzle Dazzle’s new items before their official debut with an exclusive Eat & Drink Month teaser menu.
AN INTERACTIVE DEMONSTRATION AT THE TEST KITCHEN
Let's Mushroom Around
Join our brilliant culinary team in an interactive, demonstration-style cooking class to learn how we make magic with mushrooms and discover the techniques behind two of our eateries’ most iconic mushroom-inspired dishes: The Test Kitchen’s Mushroom Mousse and Razzle Dazzle’s Mushroom Tartare.
A SUSHI & RICE DEMONSTRATION AT THE TEST KITCHEN
Rice, Rice Baby
Grab your chopsticks because, in this interactive demonstration at The Test Kitchen, you’ll get a taste of the ancient art of sushi-making, learn how to select sushi-grade fish, understand the correct way to forge a sushi knife, and get our top-secret sticky-seasoned-rice recipe.
ELEVATED WINE PAIRING DINNER FOR TWO AT THE WAKE
Indulge in an exquisite 4-course wine pairing dinner at The Wake and celebrate the fall season (and our Wine Spectator award-winning wine list) with a tasting menu exclusively designed for our first Eat & Drink Month by Michelin-starred Chef Brad Farmerie and handpicked labels from Caymus Vineyards.
Get your toasts ready.
We’re raising the bar.
A pop-up bar starring Filthy Food’s All Natural Bloody Mary mix so you can start your day right or get your daily tomato fix. A mildly caffeinated educational experience curated by Jojo Tea and an authentic cupping class curated by Intelligentsia Coffee. And to keep the good times (and great drinks) flowing, we’ve topped off all November Voyages with a free $300 Bar Tab, so you have yet another reason to raise your glass (or two).
A STEAMING-HOT CUPPING CLASS AT RAZZLE DAZZLE
Spill the Beans with Intelligentsia Coffee
Anyone can taste and compare coffee flavors — so we’re raising the (coffee) bar with an interactive cupping class, where you’ll learn about different hand-selected varieties from around the world, experience the professional tasting process and transform your daily caffeine-fix ritual forever.
A MILDLY CAFFEINATED EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE
What’s The (Jojo) Tea?
Learn about the origin of tea and its categories, how to analyze and taste its four main styles, and get an inside look into our partner-ship with JoJo Tea. After this 60-minute experience specially designed for tea lovers, you’ll never see a humble cuppa the same way again.
Filthy Bloody Mary bar
Bloody Marys are just as versatile and complex as those who drink them — so they had to make an appearance on Eat & Drink Month. Head to the adult soda shop at The Social Club between 9 am and 3 pm during your sailing and start your day with three versions of Filthy Food’s All Natural Bloody Mary.
A COMICAL GAME OF MILLENIAL LOTERÍA AT PINK AGAVE
Lotería Gigante is our new favorite game where contestants learn how to make (and drink) 2 agave cocktails while playing Millenial Lotería — a parody of "Lotería," but like, way more millennial. And on our version, your entry ticket already comes with a margarita and paloma bar plus a free rim job.
GUIDED SOUND BATH MEDITATION AND GENTLE YOGA FLOW
Sip and Sway with Kin Euphorics
Reconnect with your body in a guided meditation sesh before a gentle yoga class with Vibransè’s Andrea Mihalik. With The Beach Club at Bimini’s breezy vibes and Kin Euphorics’ adaptogens, nootropics, and botanics-infused drinks, we’re raising the bar on social hour and keeping the sugar levels low.
UNFILTERED HOSPITALITY BAR TAKEOVER
Nothing Fancy at The Loose Cannon
Come for the nauti drinks. Stay for the bounty of fun. Host with the most, Josue Gonzalez is bringing devilish charm, extra delicious cocktail flair, and unfiltered bartending to Loose Cannon with Nothing Fancy — an irresistible cocktail menu created exclusively for Virgin Voyages Eat & Drink Month.
BOOZY SCAVENGER HUNT
Seven Seas Sippers
A chic lounge where we pour our love for aged spirits over ice. A dive bar where lively games, good times, and great drinks flow. And an iconic casino where you can grab a drink with Lady Luck. Follow the map to taste delicious cocktails, collect all stamps, and earn a shot at claiming the treasure.
Free drinks this November.
