Three ships. Two months. One epic celebration — our annual Eat & Drink Festival is back.

Bigger, bolder, and even better now that it’s been extended to two months in August and September — it’s the Virgin Voyages annual Eat & Drink Festival.

Eat & Drink Festival

As your Sailors bid bon voyage from Miami, Barcelona, and Athens, they’ll be saying hello, hola, and yassou to a variety of food-forward events we have in store for them on one fantastic voyage.

Now in three different regions, we wanted each of our lady ships to offer similar experiences that could be shared by all Sailors, but also unique activities to highlight each one — and so your Sailors can experience why our ships won the Cruise Critics Cruisers Choice Award for Best Dining.

Not only did we bring back our festival early, we brought back fan-favorite activities including Seven Seas Sippers so that Sailors could embark on a cocktail journey to our different bars, Taste the Galley, which introduces our Sailors to bold, bite-sized edibles on a kiosk journey through The Galley, and Flavors Uncorked at The Wake — a premium dinner experience that pairs different wines with each dish during a five-course meal. There’s also new events including The Juice Walk (a healthy take on the traditional pub crawl), Path of the Negroni, a celebration of Italy’s definitive cocktail, and Razzle Dazzle by Night whose New American-inspired menu has been reimagined by the latest member to join our Culinary Creative Collective, Chef Eric Kim Haugen.

Not only have we raised the steaks, we’re offering free drinks in all regions for sailings booked between June 30th and August 23rd, 2023*. A $300 Bar Tab will be added to voyages 6 nights or less, and a free $600 Bar Tab on voyages 7 nights or more so your Sailors can take advantage of our premium drinks and activities (including Seven Seas Sippers, Shake for Champagne, and Afternoon Tea at Sip). Because each homeport is located in its own exciting city, their respective ships feature standout activities to celebrate its distinct local culture.

Scarlet Lady celebrates the island charms of the Caribbean while giving Sailors the chance to discover why Miami is not your average city by the shore. Drink enthusiasts will love the Bar Takeover — Miami’s Finest, where masterminds behind the city’s most iconic bars (The Sylvester, Swizzle, Cafe La Trova, and Sweet Liberty) are mixing up their blend of innovative cocktails. As part of our live programming, we’re excited to welcome Chef Eric Kim Haugen, who besides sharing his skills with our Sailors and relaunching Razzle Dazzle’s exciting new menu, was previously a judge on the Food Network’s competition show Big Restaurant Bet that premiered in 2022. Additional highlights: Let’s Mushroom Around and Bubbles & Bites: A Champagne and Fried Chicken Affair.

Valiant Lady, having been part of last year’s Eat & Drink Festival, is now taking over the Mediterranean. Her Barcelona homeport will be getting the love it deserves with Bar Takeover — Barcelona’s Finest, where different local bars (Lilith & Sons, Collage Cocktail Bar, Piñata Cocktail Cantina, and Marlowe Bar) create a specialty beverage menu that pays homage to the city’s timeless allure and its eclectic contemporary scene. We’re also excited to announce that Chef Matt Lambert will be joining us for a new cooking demo, and introduce our Sailors to the Meaty Boy sandwich that will be included with our Taste the Galley food showcase. Additional highlights: Let’s Get Choco-Lit pastry workshop and Master the Art of (White) Wine Tasting.

Resilient Lady recently made her fleet debut, and will now make her festival debut from Athens with our latest Açaí What You Did There superfoods workshop. For Sailors who’ve ever craved ice cream for breakfast (who hasn’t?!), they’ll learn how to make a tempting açaí bowl that blends taste with nutrition — turning their sweet fantasies into a healthy reality. As one of our OG menu creators, we're welcoming back Chef Silvana Salcido Esparza. Not only is she to thank for Pink Agave’s delectable to-share-or-not-to-share dishes, she too will host a cooking demo where she stirs up her award-winning guacamole. Additional highlights: Shot for Shot where mixology-meets-photography and Master the Art of (Red) Wine Tasting.

It’s not just our Sailors who are getting hooked up, it’s our First Mates too. On top of your compelling 16% commission on the voyage fare (with no NCFs!) and 10% on pre-voyage bookables (like Shore Things, airfare, hotel, and more), there’s an agency incentive running through June 29th to earn you extra commission, plus new offers that will be released soon. So keep your eyes out for the latest news and upcoming details both you and your Sailors will love.
